Hello! I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (summa cum laude), both in Computer and Control Engineering, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering, (grade excellent), from the University of L'Aquila, Italy, in 2004, 2007 and 2011, respectively.
I spent research periods at the Ford Motor Company in Aachen, Germany (in 2007) at the University of California, Berkeley (in 2008-09) and Santa Barbara (in 2009-10), and at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm (in 2011). In 2011-12 I was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of L'Aquila, Italy, Centre of Excellence for Research DEWS, where I currently hold an external affiliation and am an adjunct professor of Systems Biology. In 2012, I joined the Institute for Systems Analysis and Computer Science "A. Ruberti", National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IASI), where I am currently a researcher.
I am a Senior Member of IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS), an Academic Editor of PLOS ONE, an Associate Editor of International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, a member of the IEEE-CSS Conference Editorial Board (CEB), and of the IEEE-CSS Technical Committees on Healthcare & Medical Systems, Automotive Controls, Systems Biology and Hybrid Systems.
I co-authored over sixty peer-reviewed international publications and I am co-recipient the "Premium Award 2018 for Best Paper in IET Systems Biology" for the work "The impact of negative feedback in metabolic noise propagation".
My research interests include hybrid systems, control applications, systems biology and biomathematics.
